Legends in Isaldor
In the land of Isaldor, in the heart of its great civilizations, there beats the heart of many races. That heart is called Achon. Located at the edge of the divide of the Elfin Highlands, the Dwarven Dirgaaren Mountains, and the rolling hills of human ancestry, the Achon is the very center of trade for the local peoples. Humans, elves, and dwarves come from all over just to do business here, in a kingdom ruled equally by these three races. This Kingdom is called Highguardia.
The great trade city located on a peninsula in the massive freshwater lake known as Apsell is called Apsellinia. Its access to all of the mouths of major rivers to the southern land has made it a hub for river trade for the rest of the world. This is where you have come, for whatever reason, to be this day, the eighteenth day of the third month of the 830th year of the reign of King Laevic, the elfin Consul of Highguardia. The years here are measured by the reign of the elfin consuls because of their length. It is Spring in Achon, and with that comes the long-awaited thaw. The northern lands are still as if in winter and the southern lands have banks high with the melt of the Gatsuuld glacier, which borders the Dirgaaren Mountains.
